Abstract
A case/control study conducted through a questionnaire
by 28 family paediatricians in 389 children with recurrent otitis
media, sinusitis, bronchopneumonia and headache/migraine
showed a significant association: of passive smoking with recurrent
otitis media (OR 1.91; 95% IC: 1.01-3.63). Headache and sinusitis
were more frequent in children of fathers who suffered from the same
conditions. 65% of parents were smokers.
