Abstract
We report a case of a 7-year-old girl developing an haemorragic duodenitis as a consequence of the administration of a single standard dose of ibuprofen for the symptomatic treatment of an upper respiratory tract infection. The aim of the case report was to underline that gastroenteric bleeding may be one of the side effects of nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used at standard doses.
