La dentizione difficile: mito e illusione

Abstract
Teething seems to cause high fever, diarrhea, rashes, seizures or bronchitis. Many parents
attribute these signs to teething, thus delaying the correct diagnosis. Illness occurring during
tooth eruption should be throughly evaluated so that a serious illness is not overlooked.
If the symptoms are related only to tooth eruption (as restlessness, thumb sucking, gum rubbing,
drooling, temporary loss of appetite) the physician can rassure the parents and provide
practical advices
