Abstract
Questo ponderoso documento, che M&B è molto lieto di poter pubblicare, è frutto della fatica di un gruppo di persone individuate
dalle principali società scientifiche che, dopo un vaglio completo della letteratura filtrato sull’esperienza personale e
sul confronto tra culture in parte diverse, fa il punto dello stato dell’arte, delle sicurezze e delle insicurezze di indicazione e
di prassi. Col permesso degli Autori M&B ha posto in calce a questo notevole prodotto il suo punto di vista e i suoi commenti
che deviano in più di un punto dalle conclusioni del gruppo. Questa decisione potrebbe essere criticabile, ma certamente
rientra nella nostra politica editoriale. Da una parte infatti M&B si è sempre proposto una linea di disciplina, di accettazione
delle evidenze e di una ricerca di comportamenti comuni, dall’altra ha dato e sempre più cercherà di dare spazio a voci
diverse (controversie) che cercano di far luce, non per avere ragione o torto, sulle aree grigie, di semiluce, che sempre si
trovano ai margini di quello spazio in cui ci si muove con sicurezza, o quasi. Crediamo d’altronde che il documento debba
essere una cosa viva, e pensiamo che possa essere oggetto di riflessioni e di interventi dei lettori.
