Un caso di polmonite con piastrinosi

The Authors describe a case of pneumonia in an 11 months old child, who presented with high inflammatory indexes. Antibiotic response was quick, with rapid improvement of symptoms, fever resolution in 72 hours and resolution of the radiological pneumonia opacity. However, during hospitalisation, platelets increased rapidly. An echocardiogram was performed revealing a dilatation of the left coronary artery.
