Abstract
The oral hygiene during the first two years of life of the child has be performed by parents after each meal using a wet cotton bandages. Toothbrush should be introduced as soon as possible. Its proper use, at least 2 times a day, avoids gingivitis. Dental floss in children is not recommended. In patients with disability, professional oral hygiene is indicated at least once or twice a year.
