Abstract
Lateral sinus thrombosis is a rare and potentially devastating complication of otomastoiditis. Approximately 5-15% of the otomastoiditis develops intracranial complications among which the most frequent one is lateral sinus thrombosis that has an incidence of 3-5%. The article reports the case of a 2-year-old child whose clinical signs and history led to entertain a diagnosis of lateral sinus thrombosis that was confirmed by TC scan. The child underwent a surgical intervention and she was treated with antibiotics and anticoagulant therapy.
