Abstract
Few cases of acute hepatitis due to Parvovirus B19 are reported in the literature. The paper describes a case of acute cholestatic hepatitis due to Parvovirus B19 infection. Diagnosis was based on a positive serologic test (IgM) and on molecular detection of parvovirus B19 DNA in peripheral blood. Parvovirus B19 infection should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with acute hepatitis of unknown aetiology.
