Although of uncertain efficacy, cutaneous cleansers are often used for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Several cases have been reported in literature of contact dermatitis, due to either excessive concentration or prolonged cutaneous contact: the paper describes a further case, with the aim of enhancing the importance of always providing detailed instructions to families when prescribing even the most simple treatment.
