Abstract
Nowadays, a lot of surgical techniques, modifications and combination of techniques are available for surgeons involved in the management of hypospadias. Nevertheless, controversy exists regarding the ideal management because of the lack of well-structured and evidence-based protocols. The paper is an updated review of the state-of-the-art in modern hypospadiology and emphasizes the importance of a correct methodological approach.
