The Author presents the case of a young girl complaining pain in her vulva (vulvodynia). After assessing the anamnestic data and the mother and girl's behaviours, a somatic pain disorder was diagnosed in the contest of Münchhausen-like syndrome. The difficulties in taking care of this kind of patients are discussed.
