Abstract
Early participation in sport among children and adolescents is undoubtedly one of the most enriching experiences for physical, social and emotional development. However, the line between healthy activity and excessive load may become thin, particularly in contexts where performance is prioritized over individual balance. The increasing intensity of training and the pressures associated with competition have made clinical conditions related to overtraining and overload disorders more frequent - conditions that are often underestimated or not recognized in time. The paper aims to offer an integrated analysis of the phenomenon from multiple perspectives, addressing the clinical, endocrinological, statistical and preventive aspects of sport overload in youth and to provide some practical insights and perhaps also to stimulate personal reflection among those who train young athletes.
